Just Us:
Mommy & Me Jewelry Box & Bracelet Workshop

How It Went
Just Us is a workshop where moms and their little ones each make a jewelry box and a bracelet β not for themselves, but entirely for each other. Every color you choose, every gem you place, every bead you string β you're thinking about her the whole time. I sat there making something for my daughter and just thought: this is what love looks like when you slow down enough to show it with your hands.
At the end, you exchange everything. She opens the box you made just for her. You open the one she made just for you. And inside β a bracelet and a hidden note. I am not going to lie, I cried. There's something about watching your child choose gems for YOU, thinking about what you'd love β and realizing she sees you. That moment is the whole point. Kids assign memories to objects. This was one of those objects. πΈ
Adorned in Becoming:
3D Art & Reflective Experience

How It Went
This one hit different. Adorned in Becoming was a creative wellness workshop where women stopped performing β and finally started expressing. Each woman received a personalized line-art portrait and transformed it using watercolor, shimmer, rhinestones, and embellishments that reflected the woman she is becoming. Not the woman she's been. Not the woman she thinks she's supposed to be. The one she was always meant to be.
We explored identity beyond roles, emotional expression, self-perception, softness, authenticity, and what it means to finally become visible to yourself again. There was something in the room that night β a kind of permission. Permission to take up space. Permission to just be. Watching each woman lean into her portrait and pour herself into it? That's the whole why. π
We Made This:
Mommy & Me Turn-Based Painting

About This Workshop
You and your child shared one canvas β and took turns painting, one minute at a time. Round by round, something unexpected happened. The painting grew, the colors found each other, and every mom in the room was reminded that she and her child already know how to build something beautiful together. They just needed the space to remember.

Military Child World Expo:
Bloom Within the Community

How It Went
OK so β Military Child World Expo was EVERYTHING. I set up our Bloom Within Studio craft table and I genuinely was not ready for what happened next. Military kids showed up and they showed OUT. Creating, laughing, expressing themselves in the most beautiful, uninhibited way. There was literally a line of kids who could not wait to build their flower pots β and watching them pour their little hearts into something with their own hands? I was amazed by their creativity. Every single one of them brought something different to the table and it reminded me exactly why I do this.
This is the whole reason Bloom Within Studio exists. We don't wait for things to get hard before we pour into our kids. We start here β with creativity, with joy, with intention. To every military family we met that day: thank you for trusting us with your littles. That meant everything to me. π€
This event was hosted by the Military Child World Expo in partnership with the Military Children's Six Foundation β an organization dedicated to the education, mental health, and advocacy of military children. Their work focuses on legislative reform, amplifying awareness around child exploitation and trafficking, and ensuring military kids don't just survive β they thrive. We are honored to have shared space with such a powerful mission.
Bloom Into Self-Love:
Self Portrait

About This Workshop
Women gathered to paint self-portraits, reflect on their inner narrative, and crown themselves the main character of their own story. An afternoon of candles, color, guided journaling, and sisterhood β where every brushstroke was an act of self-love.
"Gia led us through a workshop where she traced a picture of us onto a canvas, gave us prompts to think about before painting, and finally colors to paint the emotions we felt onto the canvas. It was beautiful and therapeutic to connect with women and learn about their stories of womanhood and all the ways we've found identity through meaningful connection π"
